The YPC 2015 is composed of 25 members. Six major goals were set-up to assist with: the residency match, visa issues, streamline APPNA houses, organize different seminars, develop mentorship program (US clinical experience), and loan program (Qarz-e-Hasana) for deserving physicians.

YPC assisted numerous physicians during the residency match week March 17-21, 2015. YPC has compiled lists of current Pakistani-Descent residents and program directors. In collaboration with the Advocacy and Legislative Affairs Committee, YPC is helping with visa issues. YPC met the US states department on 04/30/15. APPNA houses in New York and Michigan areas are being streamlined, and financial burden on the central office has been cut. YPC seminar was successfully held during the recent APPNA spring meeting on 05/01/15. YPC has now collected a database of US mentors, and helping the young physicians gain clinical and research experience. It’s also working with the Adhoc Committee for electives to develop an on-line application process. The YPC website is being updated, with the addition of an on-line educational section. Application process has been developed for the loan-program (Qarz-e-Hasana). Funds are being collected at present.
