Dear APPNA Members,

Nominations are now open for three council-appointed committees:

  • Ethics & Grievance Committee (EGC) – Max 2 members per alumni body

  • Financial Compliance Committee (FCC) – Max 2 members per alumni body

  • Nominations & Elections Committee (NEC) – Max 1 member per alumni body

Deadline: September 22, 2025

Each member may submit up to 2 nominations per committee.

Nominations will be vetted by a subcommittee and presented at the Fall Meeting. Council voting will follow from October 6–21, 2025.

Nominations and Elections Committee (NEC)

Those alumni who already have representations and are not eligible for NEC committee per bylaws are listed below:

  • Nishtar   

  • Allama Iqbal 

  • Khyber

  • Dental APPNA

  • Rawalpindi 

  • King Edward 

Each member is requested to nominate up to **TWO names** for consideration by the council, considering the following criteria:

**SECTION 3B: Qualifications of Members:**

  • a. All committee members must be current members of the Association in good standing for the previous five (5) consecutive years.

  • b. No more than one (1) member from the same alumni may serve on the committee simultaneously.

  • c. The BOD may object to any member with at least seven (7) votes. If there is an objection, the Council will propose another name.

  • d. A member of the NEC shall not be eligible to contest for any elected position in APPNA for three (3) years after their tenure.

  • e. Alumni listed above are not eligible to run for NEC, as bylaws allow only one member per alumni on the committee.

Each member is requested to nominate up to **TWO names** for consideration by the council, considering the following criteria:

**SECTION 2C: Qualifications of Members:**

  • a. Members must be in good standing with the Association for the previous five (5) consecutive years.

  • b. No more than two (2) members from the same alumni may serve on the committee simultaneously.

  • c. The EGC appointee should have served the Association in one of the following capacities:

  • As an officer (EC) of a Component Society

  • A former member of the APPNA Board of Trustees (BOT), Board of Directors (BOD), or EGC

  • The above positions should have been completed two (2) years prior to the appointment as an EGC member.

  • d. An EGC member shall not be eligible to contest for any elected position in APPNA for three (3) years after their tenure.

  • e. No member of the EGC shall serve two consecutive 3-year terms.

  • f. The Board of Directors may object to any appointee by a vote of seven (7) out of nine (9) and request an alternative appointee from the APPNA Council.

Financial Compliance Committee (FCC)

Each member is requested to nominate **TWO names** for consideration by the council, considering the following criteria:

**SECTION 1B: Qualifications of Members:**

  • a. Must have a lifetime or annual membership of APPNA for at least five (5) years.

  • b. All committee members must be current members of the Association in good standing for the previous five (5) consecutive years.

  • c. Must have served as a member of the Council, APPNA Executive Committee, Board of Directors, Board of Trustees, or APPNA Finance Committee in the past.

  • d. No more than two (2) members from the same alumni may serve on this committee simultaneously.
