APPNA NHCD 2022 was held on October 1st at APPNA Office Westmont IL.
It was well attended by PPS and JSMUUANA physicians.
Pakistani consulate general Mr. Tariq Kareem attended the event.
Free health screening was done on site, COVID 19 Booster doses were provided, Free labs were done onsite, patients were given follow up appointments. ICNA relief Mobile clinic with ICNA relief staff was available on site. Young students also volunteered at the event and helped in registration and other activities.
GA-APPNA had a very successful Annual Health Fair on October 9th 2022.
We provided Free Flu shots by Moorehouse School of Medicine, free COVID vaccinations by CORE Cobb county, free Lipid panel testing with ICNA Relief , Glucose screening, Free Eye exam by Ophthalmologist, Dental Exam, Mental Health booth, Breast Cancer Awareness and Head and Neck cancer screening by Emory University ENT and Emory Urban Health Initiative and smoking cessation and cancer risk stratification. We even did Free Hepatitis C screen and HIV screening by ANIZ Inc.
We served a very diverse population!!
We saw close 260 patients and provided 200 flu shots and many COVID vaccination.
Our young volunteers did BMI testing, BP measurements, Blood sugar testing.
We had 9-10 Primary care physicians seeing patients at the same time at one point in the fair !
Our Cardiologist read many EKGs, Endocrinologist, Rheumatologist, Neurologist, Nephrologist, Pulmonologist, Allergist, ENT , Dentist, Oral Surgeon, Dermatologists, Pediatricians, Psychiatrist saw our patients and they all were very appreciative of APPNA’s vision to provide care to uninsured, under insured or people who may not have access to health care!
Our Health Fair team was recognized by our physicians for a very well organized event and appreciated seeing a diverse population.

APPNA South Central Texas Chapter arranged a National Health Care Day on Saturday October 22, 2022. Volunteer medical students, dental students and physicians participated to provide free health/dental screenings and consultations. APPNA physicians also participated in the blood donation. In addition, career path consultation and mentoring (longitudinal pathway) was made available to high school students. Local community members and a large number of refugees benefited from this event.
