Dear All,
APPNA National Health Care Day 2019 was organized nationwide by APPNA members. I am greatly indebted to all those who participated this year with our limited support secondary to financial and other unavoidable circumstances. Services including flu shots, screening, labs and other community activities were provided local support.
This is a learning experience this year and we should continue our services to our adopted homeland under all kinds of circumstances.
Thanks to APPNA President, Naseem Shekhani, MD, all Coordinators who participated, Mrs. Lauren Niewold and Mr. Nicholas Suh who supported under difficult circumstances.

Alabama Chapter arranged APPNA National Health Care Day 2019 in Hoover, Alabama on Saturday October 12, 2019 in collaboration with BIS and Red Crescent Clinic of Alabama (free clinic supported by APPNA physicians). We served 113 patients, 80 labs and flu shots, lipid panel, glucose, blood pressure, and eye exam screening with free physician consultation. One dozen physicians and couple of dozen volunteers made this event successful. Food, rides for children, lifesouth blood drive highlighted by local media coverage.

APPNA Health Fair was a great success. It was organized by Umar Farooq, MD, who is the Councilor for APPNA PUN Delaware Valley Chapter. Free flu shots were given and medical screenings were provided free of cost. The event was very well attended and appreciated by the local officials.
