Asak, my name is Dr Asif Mohiuddin and I am proud to be your 2024 Appna president. I am a practicing Gastroenterologist in Florida. I am married to Farheen and together we have 4 kids.

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you even further. As a kid, I was raised in the Middle East before going to boarding school in Malta. The students there were from over 40 different countries, so I quickly learned to put politics aside and treat everyone like family and with respect. I dreamt of being a fighter pilot or playing soccer like Diego Maradonna, but eventually life took me toward Medical School. I graduated from Dow Medical College 89 (First Batch) where I made friends for lifetime and then moved to America. We lived in various cities, including Philadelphia where I fell in love with the Eagles football team, before settling in Orlando.

I wanted to be your Appna President because I felt it needed to launch in a new direction of innovation, research, and investment in technology. I aim to gather the best people in APPNA and tap into our true potential. I want to blur the divisions based on Alumni lines and work with all of you to bring positive change to APPNA.

I believe in the goodness of each one of you and we will work hard and make 2024 a success for APPNA in every way IA.
